Walnut Hills
This city suburb is divided into two areas, East Walnut Hills and Walnut Hills, a move that was made to distinguish the "more expensive area" The east side from the rest. HOWEVER, in the past 7 years the Walnut Hills area has gone through a swift transformation back to the great Middle Class area it once was. This line is definitely faded.
Walnut Hills offers beautiful river view estate homes, great condos, The Verona, for instance is an incredible Italianate condo project that they are doing a beautiful job of renovating for very good prices. It adjoins Eden Park so it has become the go to alternative to Hyde Park or the City if you are afraid of living the true Urban Life. East Walnut Hills offers beautiful turn of the century estates, and is a short stroll to OBrienville, which has antique shops, bars, dining, clothing and art stores. It's also a quick 6 minute drive to Hyde Park or to UC and its hospitals. The cities top private schools are in Walnut Hills,
7 Hills and Ursuline, Ursuline is a catholic girls school. Our daughter went to 7 Hills and really got a great education before she transfered to
Walnut Hills High School. For more information about the area click on
